DVA Nursing and VHC support

In-home support for eligible veterans, war widows/widowers and dependants.

Eligible Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) clients may access in-home support for veterans through programs such as Veterans’ Home Care (VHC) and the DVA Community Nursing Program. These services are designed to help veterans and their families remain independent and well supported at home.

VHC provides low-level practical assistance with everyday tasks, while Community Nursing supports clinically required nursing and personal care delivered at home. Services may include medication support, wound care, hygiene assistance, dressing and palliative care, depending on individual needs and eligibility.

All Aged Care can assist by:

Explaining DVA pathways and support options
Coordinating services alongside other aged care or private supports
Connecting you with Nursing Care, Personal Care or Domestic Assistance
